I bought some of these in Dec. & they saved my bacon when a pipe started to leak in the basement. Because of the alarm we were able to deal with a drip rather than a torrent.

Ribbitt!!!

YAY! Leak Frogs! I love you, Little Green Frog!

Stock up while you can. Get them before you think you need them. You will not be sorry!

I have 4 of these cute little guys strategically placed around the house. Saved me when the washing machine started to leak!

Someone on Facebook commented that these little guys are worth their weight in gold. That’s saying something!

Bought a bunch of these guys a few years back and gave them as Christmas gifts. My Mom loves them as they have caught a few basement leaks over the years.

I’m planning on buying a house this year and these don’t come up that often… maybe I should pick up a set… Yes, definitely a good idea…

I remember when these first appeared. I thought they were a joke. The next month, our basement flooded and we didn’t know until I went down to do laundry. The next time these came up for sale, they were no longer funny and I bought four! Two for our basement and two for Mom’s. They have done their job many times at our house and three times at Mom’s. That’s a lot of work, boxes, and rugs saved for a stupid green frog.

Oh - and we change the batteries when the time changes in the spring. Re-use them else where… just in case.

Anyone with an aquarium should have one or two of these. Not to mention anyone with a washer, dishwasher, or hot water heater.

I’ve had 2 of these since I saw them on Woot in 2009 and they have saved me a basement full of water at least 3 times since then.

Yeah, because you should always believe a second-hand report about an unknown Facebook comment.

Aren’t there enough user testimonials here without Staff having to shill the product in the comments? Or maybe you were trying to be funny and just failed epically.

Well, thanks for that. You brought me to my senses. I was going to get one pair for “old times sake” but I already have six strategically placed around ye old homestead. Thanks for reminding me this in the *NEW IMPROVED W00T" and not the days of yore…sigh

Cute little buggers though…thanks for saving me $20.

What I really needed was a light to wake me up in the morning…guess W00T can’t handle that. Thanks W00T you used to be cool.

Here’s the official Woot Facebook post. It just struck me funny to think about these tiny little things weighing what solid gold would.

It’s 3:30 in the afternoon and I’ve been working all day trying to find why my furnace went on the fritz. Thankfully, I did not have a leak this time but I did have one when my water heater died 6 months ago.

So I just saw the LeakFrog alarm and I think that buying a few sets is in order. I’ll keep one set and give one set to my sister.

These alerted us to our washing mashing overflowing about 2 months ago. The washing machine is in the basement and we were on the 2nd floor. They’re awesome.

They don’t?

They don’t weigh much without batteries.

Everyone who lives in a domicile of any kind should get these. And if you’re homeless, you should get them and save them for when you have a home.

They are, quite simply, that useful.

EDIT: Wait a second… batteries not included? Now I’m not so sure I’m gonna get more. I still have two more left from the last time I stocked up.

Here’s price and whether batteries are included from my woot purchase history:
Dec 2010 / $12.99 / included (Woot Off)
Feb 2012 / $12.99 / included (Woot Off)
Mar 2013 / $14.99 / NOT included
Mar 2014 / $14.99 / NOT included

I guess the Woot Off can be considered responsible for some of that cost difference. But I’d still like to see it at $12.99 with no batteries on a regular day. For now, I’m gonna do what woot’s trained me to do: hold off and wait for a Woot Off.
