“The duel use of the micro will make it a must take device for all your adventures.”

So it will play my music and fight my battles?

I checked it out on the MotherShip and it gets 4.5 stars, and is $35 there.

People say it sounds surprisingly good, is surprisingly small, and works as well as a larger noise generator, with the bonus of being a “decent” Bluetooth speaker.

It can be used while charging, or just left plugged in (to any USB charger, in case it’s not clear).

And the sounds are all generated, not recorded, so there’s no glitch because of looping back to the beginning.

$20 is the lowest price I found for any noise generator, and all the others I found are at least 3-4 times the size of this one.

FYI: I also found a hard case for it, for $13.

I have the full-size version and can attest for the quality of the device, and sound it produces.

The Amazon link above suggests it’s as loud as the original, so this may be a good deal if you don’t already have one. But I’d get the larger one (more sound variation) if I had to choose between the two and while I’ve not actually done it, I’m pretty sure you could easily travel with the bigger one. It’s only 5"x3" and uses a USB power connection, so it’s likely you have an adapter around already.

I have the larger version and it’s nice but I personally only like the base white noise and base fan noise so having less sound options probably doesn’t matter.

Thanks for the recs! My current sound machine for travel is an ancient beige monstrosity; in for one of these now that I have read the comments.

I’ve got both the normal sized one and this tiny travel one - it’s amazing how loud this little one can be! It also has a directional speaker, which the larger one does not. Terrific for masking noises in hotel compared to trying to tune in white noise on the radio or leaving the fan running. This case fits it almost perfectly: Hermitshell Travel EVA Protective Case Carrying Pouch Cover Bag for 3Dconnexion SpaceNavigator 3D Mouse 3DX-700028 3DX-70034 3DX-70043.
The case for the regular sized Lectrofan is big enough to hold 3 of the little ones.
