From the specs:
“Works as a remote controlled lighting system”
I found it’s part of a system, so it can turn on other battery operated lights, when the power goes out.

How was this originally 39.99? 14.99 seems too high to me. Four hours on a charge? Is it a case of flashlights?

What does this mean? How is it remote controlled?

There are other products available from Mr Beams and they control them, either by pressing the button or if the power goes out it automatically turns on the other devices.

Thanks. I found that and edited my original post.
These have NiMH rechargeable batteries…kind of a waste of money as leaving them plugged in is what kills the battery.
No way this is worth the price.

I would seriously consider this if the Mr. Beam ceiling lights doubled as smoke/co2 detectors but alas…
