Lenovo 12.5" Thinkpad X240 256GB Notebook (Open Box)

Lenovo 12.5" Thinkpad X240 256GB Notebook (Open Box)

I wonder why this Windows 10 computers are suddenly put on sale. Can it be because they aren’t compatible with Windows 11? Seller must disclose this limitation on the product description. Can somebody help me with this? Thanks

The Microsoft Authorized Refurbisher program is limited to Windows 10 (and Office 2019).

Otherwise, it’s to what the computer was originally licensed for – hence some off-lease computers from Dell Refurbished (Dell Financial) are still sold with Windows 7.

Windows 10 will still have support until October 14, 2025, so that’s still nearly 4 years from now.

Also keep in mind that Windows 11 ran on a Pentium 4 (circa 2006). Workarounds are bound to exist if W11 is really that important.

(Note that I am not staff. I just volunteer to help out on the forums.)
