I would call this a “Lap O’ Crap”.

For $20 more you can get a 2nd gen i5 with twice the HD on ebay all day long.

Used these at work, great laptop. First thing I would do is pull the hard drive, put in a SSD and you have something that will last you for the next 3-4 years with all the speed you need for everything (but hard-core gaming)

No webcam. How about fingerprint scanner and Bluetooth?

This is a terrible deal… it’s all 5-6 year old technology. Adding an SSD would help, but IMHO it wouldn’t be worth it. And you can forget about playing anything but THE most low-tech games on it, even if you add an SSD.

If one of these ended up in my BOC, I wouldn’t be too disappointed.

Mine just arrived with a non functional keyboard and mouse. This was the first and will be the last refurb laptop I buy.

well customer service offered a partial refund which should cover the cost of a replacement keyboard, still annoyed a bit. overall the laptop looked nearly new. waiting to see how long this partial refund takes.

I just received mine today. The battery won’t charge. AC is plugged in, says it’s charging, but it’s been at 55% the past hour.

I’ve disconnected power and removed the battery. Held the power button down. Something seemed to have reset. When I got back into windows, I connected the power and heard the power connected chime, but as soon as I disconnect the AC adapter, windows as well as the Lenovo power utility both state AC power is still connected.

This was supposed to be a gift to an older gentleman going to school to become a Deacon. He already isn’t too keen with technology. How am I supposed to burden him with this?

Oh man, sorry to hear that! If you haven’t done so, please email support@woot.com with your order details and situation. CS can check into your account and review your available options.

Thank you, I have done as such. I appreciate your response.

Got mine today and it is crap as well. It has obviously been used and abused for years before someone put it up for sale as “Refurbished”. Badly scuffed and scraped all over. The rubber feet on the bottom are dried-out and almost completely worn down, which means it has had years and years of use.

Got mine in the mail yesterday. It only came with 3.00GB of RAM. What the heck!
