Please be more careful in the specs table. Just got two of these and, though specs say specifically:
Keyboard: Full-Size; backlit
The keyboard is not backlit on the units we received.
Please be more careful of describing features in the future. Trying to decide if this is a deal-breaker or not.
Dumb question, are you sure it’s just not turned on?
I had to really hunt to find the right hotkey configuration to turn mine on and off on a Toshiba that I had.
Just looked it up and the hotkey combo should be:
On the keyboard, the keys that are used to enable or disable the backlight is the Fn + Space bar. Hold down the FN key and then tap the Space bar.
But, then again, I also found that this model was sold with and without a backlit keyboard.
Yep, I’m sure it’s not there - no icon on the space bar, no joy. Thanks for y’all double checking. Kinda like ‘is it turned on’, but that is sometimes the right question to ask.
Oh well, I see the specs have been updated - keyboard is no longer identified as backlit.
Might buy a backlit keyboard (love Thinkpad’s), but I’l live w/o it for now.
