support page on the documentation tab:

If it’s that old why didn’t they leave Win7 on it instead of Win10…I might have considered it.

Win10 is superior for security and longevity, and will actually run the same/faster as win7 on i5 with 4GB RAM…

…since when does “superior security” include sending everything you do as “telemetry” to a third party, plus giving remote control to said third party to yank software they deem inappropriate? Thanks, but nooooooo thanks

I think I’ll pick this up. I’ve been kind of looking for a new laptop, which I mainly use for doing development work when not at home. My current one is old and was bought at a pawn shop for $200. I forget the exact specs on it but this one is about 100x faster, I’m sure.

I have the W510 which is this with an i7. I paid an ungodly sum for it new…

Great hardware support in Linux, I run Fedora on mine flawlessly everything works out of the box. Shockingly lousy driver support in Win 10, Bluetooth specifically, but also heat and power management.

Also, the Lenovo spyware doesn’t go on the business class stuff, they know where their bread is buttered…

Win10 calls home, so it’s security is far worse than Win7’s.

Can you downgrade to Windows 7?

I got the smaller T410 in an earlier Woot, cloned the HD to a SSD and it has been tremendous. Youtube videos show you how to change out any parts. These Lenovos are had to beat at these prices
