Beware the evil keyboard that lurks on this 2nd generation carbon.

Hint - look closely where the CapsLock should be.

Ugh. I love couldn’t get rid of this thing fast enough. The keyboard is horrible, as are the buttons for the trackpoint. Totally worthless.

carbons are awesome, but want to caution if you a) use ubuntu and b) like to use the “navpoint” (red nubby thing). getting the configuration right is a hassle and even then it doesn’t feel right without the physical buttons.

Whether “Woot” offers laptop without windows at least sometimes?

I have been using my X1 Carbon for around a year. Overall it is a very good laptop. Coming from an XPS, my only real disappointment is having to manually turn on the backlighting every time I use the keyboard. I wish it had a wake/sleep option so it would come on automatically. Otherwise, I am happy with it.

They do sell Macs from time to time… and Chromebooks here and there… but maybe you meant Linux? If so, I doubt it will ever appear here, though sometimes there are computers without operating systems at all.

Is this is Lenovo Factory Refurb? Their factory refurbs are like new units…and that would make a difference.

Sold out 83% bought 2? How many people need 2 laptops? Did I miss something like buy two and get 3 Bandoleers of Carrots for free? Did you only have like 10 laptops for sale?

@afterburn - I imagine there were only a few available. Anytime I see something sold out this early, and many purchase 2, that’s clearly, IMO, what happened.

There are more things in heaven and earth, afterburn2600, Than are dreamt of in your philosophy.

Maybe they’re getting one for someone else in the family or it’s such a good deal, they’re selling the other one.

Apparently Huma and estranged hubby Weiner needed two laptops!

Re-sellers, I think. Also I can imagine some of those has multiple accounts under the same person (or may be they use different aliases) so they can get around the purchase limit.

If I am right … woot really need to do better enforcement so that this would be fair to the non re-sellers.

description is inaccurate on Woot. says it has a 4-in1 media card reader in specs. Mine has none. Looking on line some models have and some do not.

Hi there. I’m sorry for the problem. I’m contacting our computers team to see if this is a one-off occurrence or a larger issue.

You can either contact Verified Systems directly to see how they might help or you can contact our customer service.
