Acer 22” Widescreen 5ms LCD Monitor
$174.99 + $5 shipping
1 Acer AL2216WBD 22” LCD Monitor
I wonder if the borderless feature really works
doesn’t seem too bad, I think ive seen slightly more expensive printers ($90-$120) that have wifi printing at WalMart. network printing is cool.
Best printer. I got mine last year at Best Buy for $20 on clearance. Use it for school all the time. Scanning and printing mostly. Buy 3
Good quality printer but ink is SOOOO expensive.
I’d like to buy one but I keep getting redirected to yahoo! Don’t have time for this nonsense, going to bed.
I thought it said Lexmart Malfunctioning Printer for a sec
I heard ink cost more than the printer itself.
I was going to buy new color and black ink for an HP all and one printer I have, but it’s tempting just to buy this printer instead (since it comes with ink).
It may not come with a full ink cartridge. I have 2 Lexmarx printers. When this ink is used up I will pitch them out. The ink is so expensive. On one of them a black ink cartridge from walmart cost $38.00.
“Will this work with my Linux pc” (no)
I checked Staples.com for ink cartridges…
Lexmark 32 (18C0533) Black Ink Cartridges, 2/Pack - $39.49
Lexmark 33 (18C0033) Color Ink Cartridge - $23.99
Lexmark 32/32/33 (18C1517) Black/Color Ink Cartridges, 3/Pack - $60.99
32 (black) yields up to 200 pages per cartridge
33 (color) yields up to 190 pages
Lets compare this with a Samsung CLP-610ND printer which I picked up at a bargain price a few weeks ago, and can go between $300-$400:
Samsung® CLP-K660A Black Toner Cartridge - $89.99
Samsung® CLP-C660A Cyan Toner Cartridge , Samsung® CLP-M660A Magenta Toner Cartridge, Samsung® CLP-Y660A Yellow Toner Cartridge - $79.99
The black cartridge yields up to 2,500 pages, while the color yields up to 2,000 pages.
How about my old LaserJet 4 which I just gave to a friend?
HP 98A (92298A) Toner Cartridge - $117.99
Yields up to 6,800 pages
I just used Staples because it’s a retail establishment that has the cartridges that I need. I’m sure that they can be found cheaper elsewhere. It’s just that… OUCH on the inkjet cartridges on a per-page basis. If I were printing up color photos, then inkjet all the way, but other than that, I’m a laser fan!
I’ve owned a lot of printers and personally I think HP has the best ink. Never buy it in store- it’s cheapest from their website. Shipping is free all the time, and the more you buy at a time the more you save (value packs and buy one get ones, etc.). If you are on their email list or are good at googling coupon codes you can usually use one or two coupons too.
Happens to me when I am on a cellphone.
I saw that too. I was wondering for a second if it was being sold as a ‘parts only’ type of thing
Here are some mildly useful links:
This one questions the deal: http://www.google.com/products/catalog?q=Lexmark+X5470&btnG=Search+Products&cid=17765652954128786600#ps-sellers
This one is a hand bag of user reviews: http://www.google.com/products/catalog?q=Lexmark+X5470&btnG=Search+Products&cid=17765652954128786600#ps-reviews
And this one answers the linux question not yet asked: http://www.linuxprinting.org/show_printer.cgi?recnum=Lexmark-x5470
Even new I wouldn’t touch a Lexmark printer with a 10-foot pole.
Lexmark? I wouldn’t take it if it were free. It’s just something else to have to throw out when it runs dry.
