I have a Lenovo Thinkpad T470 that has a USB Thunderbolt port that can be used on appropriate monitors. All it would need is a USB-C cable that is up to Thunderbolt specifications. Reviews hint that this cable is included (someone complained about the quality of the cable) and they are also available at Amazon for $10 on up.
My computer is a company computer, so if I leave the company I have to turn in the computer and will be left with a monitor that only has the Thunderbolt port! But I am thinking about it…
