This is refurbished with a Woot 90 day warranty. Apologies for the confusion, I’m updating the main image to exclude the panel warranty information.

What, no wall mount? G-series TVs come with a zero-gap wall mount and NO TABLETOP STAND. Woot should clarify.

New G3s come with a limited 5-yr warranty on the panel, parts only after year one. No idea about these refurbs.

My LG OLED broke ten days after the warranty ran out. Just a giant line down the middle of the screen for no apparent reason. LG graciously offered to send a repair guy out at a discounted rate that was significantly more money than replacing the TV. Basically, they sold me a disposable television.

Hello, we confirmed with our supplier that these do come with the zero-gap wall mounts. I’ve added this information to the “in the box” section of our event. Thanks for asking!

What is the return policy and warranty for these? Is the original manufacturer warranty still applicable?

Optional Asurion Protection Plan: To further protect your purchase, you can buy an Asurion protection plan from Amazon here. Review the FAQs for additional information.

That a lot of dough for a 60htz panel, I wouldn’t buy any TV today that’s not at least 120htz.

I think that you may be confused about the television on offer here…

This G3 series OLED display is a 120Hz native panel, at a 4K UHD resolution of 3840x2160. It’s also pretty incredibly capable for picture quality, with a nearly infinite contrast ratio, and the brightest MLA-equipped version of OLED that has been available until the G4 model was released this year. And its picture improvements are relatively modest, other than some AI-driven processing. However, even this 2023 model is still similarly bright in most typical usage, and adequate for even relatively bright rooms now - No small feat for an OLED.

This is also fully capable of accepting and displaying 120Hz signals with all four HDMI ports supporting the 2.1 bandwidth, ALLM, VRR (plus AMD FreeSync and Nvidia G-Sync). Pretty much all the bells and whistles for gaming.

The biggest party trick that the G3 has, other than the META/MLA panel, is that it is a member of the G/Gallery series, which are made to be mounted flush to a wall. They include a very trim, but durable mounting solution.

I have put my money where my mouth is, and rolled the dice again… This is a solid deal, at half the price of the new G4 model. And even with the discount on remaining new stock of G3 TVs available, this is enough that I couldn’t say no.

I will be trusting heavily in that Woot limited warranty, plus the Asurion offering. But honestly, those are less concerning to me than the shipping, and potential for damage there. I have had one LG OLED from Woot arrive in perfect condition (42” C2, in use as a PC media monitor), but I have also had one insanely poor experience (65” CX, which was snapped in half when the delivery truck brought a box that was nearly folded like a taco)… In all, I am slightly concerned, but I like to think that my friends at Woot will try to take care of me if there should arise any significant issues.

I’ll report back on how this goes, but I am very hopeful, and excited!

Does anyone know if these are LG factory refurbished or refurbished by another party? Does it matter? (Never purchased refurbished before.)

I would also like to know this.

Also, if I have Asurion Complete Protect warranty through amazon (16.99/month), will this purchase fall under that, and how long will the TV be covered for? the link in the FAQ refers to “Asurion Home+” which does not exist anymore, and the link goes to a 404 page on amazon.

I second this question re asurion. I’m having the same experience.

@dybalah can you answer this? Where have the TVs been refurbished? By LG factory/manufacturer, or someplace else? This is important to know, so you are guaranteed only official parts were used to fix any problems.

Does Asurion cover refurbished TVs?

Oh a word to the wise:

The 83" G3 did not get the new MLA (micro-lens array) panel layer than the smaller sizes received. The MLA layer is a new technology to capture more light that ordinarily scatters within the panel and project it out, resulting in a measurable increase in luminance capability.

The 83" G4 is slated to feature the MLA layer in 2024.

The MLA panels also feature a new “Vanta Black” antireflective coating that cuts down on ambient room reflections more than prior panels. Again, not present on the 2023 83" model.
