LG Gram SuperSlim 15.6" OLED Laptop

LG Gram SuperSlim 15.6" OLED Laptop

This is a really impressive laptop; build quality is great, and I knew the Gram line was light, but this is my first one and I wasn’t prepared for how light it feels in the hand! The refurbishment was excellent; it’s in like-new condition.

The only awkward thing is that it came with an unadvertised English/French ANSI keyboard layout. Not a deal breaker, but it’s awkward to have a bunch of distracting additional key labels. Would’ve been nice if it was listed correctly; it certainly doesn’t match the US English layout in the product photos!

Also, on the subject of the product photos, the ones in the listing appear to depict a different generation of the Gram, because the ports are different; mine has 2 USB-A on the right, and 2 USB-C, HDMI, and the audio jack on the left, versus how they’re depicted in the provided photos. Again, not another dealbreaker, just weird how Woot managed to provide multiple photos of a [slightly] different laptop than the one that was actually sold.

Hi there. We use stock photos. It could be that port changes were a silent change during the run of the laptop or the original large entity purchaser requested specific ports.

I just received mine and got the same one as the commenter above. This is not the Superslim OLED as advertised! The screen is not even an OLED! It’s obviously an IPS display.

This laptop is the LG 15Z90S. While it’s a good laptop in its own right, this is not what I was expecting to receive. I only made this purchase because it was advertised as having an OLED display.

Who do I speak to in order to get this resolved?

I ordered the LG gram SuperSlim 15.6-inch Thin and Lightweight Laptop, Intel Evo Edition - Intel Core Ultra 7, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD with OLED display. The display is not OLED. You sent me the LG 2703h-15z90s laptop. This specific model line uses a 15.6-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) IPS display. Not OLED. Can you take this model back and send me the one I ordered with the OLED display? Thanks.

News flash. I knew that. Just letting everyone know.

Thank you woot customer service for acknowledging the description vs actual product issue and addressing it very quickly!

Wow, it’s almost as if I was correct about having received a different model laptop than advertised…

The one that I got is a Canadian model (hence, the French keyboard layout). I already fully deleted everything on the laptop and installed fresh MS Windows 11 from the MS created USB. I then downloaded the LGs utility to install the LG specific drivers and software. If someone needs to install fresh then bear in mind, if I recall correctly, I ended up using a USB based ethernet adapter as the Wi-Fi was flakey. So far there are many positives; however, I noticed that the battery life is very low (hardly 4 hours). Happy computing!

I installed Zorin OS since Windows is just bloated junk nowadays and I’m able to get over 7 hours of battery life. Thought that depends on screen brightness. Full brightness is about 6 hours. 50% brightness is about 9 hours!
