My gangster friends were dropping me like flies because there was no sub in my house.
I bought this under duress, however, not only was I jumped into the gang, but I have been promoted to Treasurer of the gang, so I have access to woot.
It’s bad-ass. If you have an LG TV, it’s even more badass because it will allow direct optical interface, the remote is good for both the soundbar AND your TV.
Treble is clean, the sub is amazing and hasn’t broken Wi-fi, ever. Mids are great, Bluetooth is just as brilliant.
Wireless sub? It can be put anywhere!
Even if you don’t like bass you can use the port in sub as a great place to hide legos! (Because my daughter actually keeps doing that)
I don’t purchase from woot often. I have a 65 inch LG TV and this seemed like a good deal based on my research. A new one on walmart.com costs 168$. And the wireless sub is a pretty cool bonus!
Someone on the Amazon reviews mentioned there’s a potential firmware update needed for it? There won’t be compatibility issues using a Samsung TV right?
Been looking for a solid deal on a good sounding soundbar but didn’t want to shell out $200+ just for a spare TV. I’m sort of iffy on refurb’s and this will be my first try at buying one. Wish me luck I don’t get a lemon…
The soundbar itself is powered. You do not need a stereo reciever for it.
The optional surround speakers have a separate box that sends power to those surround speakers. This separate box connects wirelessly to the soundbar.
Before anyone invests in a soundbar, I would seriously consider using a separate amp and speaker combo, or pair of powered speakers. They typically will give much better sound quality.
Sound bars are fantastic if you just want a little better sound from your TV, and want a very small form factor. For everything else, they just arent that great.
