Totally get that frustration. I’ve had a few of my Woot orders end up that way over the years.
However, the reality behind some of this is that Woot gets these deals by working with Amazon and third party vendors, either of whom are plenty likely to make mistakes with inventory availability, or even condition of what is shipped.
Out of the potential scenarios, I am having to return a different item that was a bigger hit to my wallet than this one, due to damage - Not sure if it was like that prior to shipment, or it occurred during shipping. And it was worse two years ago, when I got a big OLED TV that was bent in half (Thanks to the freight company, CEVA). I get it. It sucks.
But Woot can only do so much, and I know that a lot of the folks working there have done a swell job of taking care of things, within their limits. Hopefully the loss of time, and refund aren’t enough to undo the work that they’ve done.
