Any clue on the expiration date? The warranty is for a year, but the food could be “good” 'till 2020.

The people need to know.

I would think that if they had just packed in three more of those 2400-calorie food bars, it would be an 8-day emergency kit.

Of course, people don’t really need food to survive…or at least not like they think they do. I saw a story on the news earlier this year where a lost hiker was detailing how he ate insects to survive, and he was only lost for one night. The average person that’s at a healthy weight can generally go about 30 days without eating before organ damage starts to occur…death takes about 60 days. However, those people that think that 2% body fat is healthy are gonna die pretty quick when they get lost in the wilderness.

Now water, on the other hand…you’ve got just a few days to find that or you will likely die.
