Lifespan tracker… so is this a count down tracker?

This seemed like a really good deal to me. Almost clicked the buy button, but decided to mosey on over to Amazon.

Was impressed 4 out of 5 stars. However, 4 out of the 39 people who reviewed it gave it 1 star. Clicked to find out why (always recommended) to find out what the potential deal breakers are/were.

{from woot description} When it is time to load your activity into your LifeSpan Fitness Club account, simply open the flip USB, insert into your computer and sync with your account.

Apparently it cost $49.95 per year to use this flip usb feature fully to upload your activity data to your account on their web server. Unclear if you can just upload to your computer and circumvent their online accounts. Two of the four negative reviewers took exception to that.

One 1 star reviewer didn’t have a problem paying an annual fee for this service. But had 5 months of problems uploading her/his data and eventually customer service ignored pleas for help.

I think I’ll pass on this one.
