2019 version… I’m gonna party like it’s 1999.

But seriously, anyone have experience with this?

Got one a couple of years ago. Same price. I have it outside and have had no problems. Works great and the battery lasts almost a month. Charged in a couple of hours.

I’m not very knowledgeable about these. Do you have to have an Amazon device that uses Alexa in order to use these?

There’s a Ring app for your phone or other device. You don’t need an Alexa device.

(Please note: I don’t work for Woot, I just volunteer to help out here on the forums.)

Perfect, thanks! I actually do have some version of an Echo device, but it’s in storage (from Woot, of course).

I have a few of these and other Ring cameras. These are small and can be placed in tight areas. The new version of this has 2k video and better low light/night vision. These will take a solar panel as well for pretty much hands off use.

I will give everyone a word of caution though-I bought one of these from Woot and even though it was Amazon certified renewed it was still registered to the previous owner and since I was past the return period neither Woot or Amazon would offer any help so it’s a brick and unusable. The lesson is check it out and install it before the return period expires!

Hi, since it is functional you may be able to salvage it within Amazon’s trade in program if they still are seeking it that is.

I’ve read about that happening here before with refurbished ring products & thank you for pointing that out for others. Sorry that happened to you. I would think if its the advertized warranty period (1 year?) they would help you.

With that said i ordered 2 yesterday & they came today. Other than the certified refurbished bar code sticker they look like new & came in the official ring boxes (not brown box). Both had the security seal on them. One had 30% charge & the other only had 8% charge on it. They setup easy within minutes & both downloaded new updates which took several minutes each. I have both of the batteries charging now.

I bought one in 2020. I also bought the associated solar panel but it wouldn’t/couldn’t charge the battery. There were many complaints about that. Sent the panel back. Kept the camera and it’s still going strong to this day overlooking the driveway. Decent night vision for within about 20-25ft. especially if you have a coach light that stays on that’s near it. Daytime clarity is stellar. Battery life lasts me 2 or 3 months. Still using the same battery. Sensitivity (getting wanted alerts) is average and can be hit or miss. I paid about 2-1/2 times more for mine when new from the mother ship. I’d say this is a good deal. But install it before the return period is up in case of problems.

I bought four and doorbell back then. I upgraded a couple years ago to newer doorbell. The cams still work great. Three are plug in, one cam and doorbell on the solar panel. The only time you have a problem with battery one is cloudy weather several days in a row. These cams have been used constant for six years

I’m headed out of town for a couple of weeks and wanted to put a couple of cameras in my house. I assume these will work indoors? …

Yes it will work indoors

Ordered one three days ago and it arrived today. Looks brand new, great picture and easy setup.

Ordered two in white on the same oder. One came in a retail box and was fine.

The second came in a non-retail brown box with ring logo. In no way could this unit be considered “like new” condition. The entire housing on this unit is severely yellowed, likely due to 2+ years of strong sun/uv exposure. The top is in the worst condition and is starting to brown. Also the front and rear halves of the housing are not fitted well and have dirt /grime around 2/3 of the seams. The QA in their repair facility is not very good as this unit should have been disposed of.

Sorry about the second one.. Make sure you reach out to Woot! Customer Service. To speed things up, let them know if you prefer a return/refund or a replacement (if possible).

Please allow 24-48 for them to respond.

Browser: Use the Woot! Customer Service form.

Woot! App: Choose Account from the bottom navigation and then Support.

Note: Woot! Customer Service replies go to the email address on your Woot! account, not your Amazon login email if used/different.

Same thing happened to me with a Firs stick. Definitely open any of these amazon refurb products within the return window.

Submitted a request for replacement about a day ago via the form you mentioned. No response yet.

My woot account’s email does differ from my amazon account, but I’ve check the inbox and junk folders for each. (Also submitted a request to have my email updated as I’m not able to complete this via self service.)
