Logitech Harmony Ultimate Touch Screen Remote

The Harmony hub is Alexa enabled, I have no idea why this isn’t mentioned in the specs but it is a game changer.

Works with Google Assistant, as well.

That’s the newer hub for the Harmony Elite. This hub and remote are older models no longer made or supported by the manufacturer. They still work just fine but one should know that they have been discontinued and with the next iOS or Android update may very well lose functionality. By the way Best Buy has this exact item on clearance at least once a month for as little as $99.

The only product that Logitech “bricked” was the Harmony Link. They offered replacements to those customers to the newer Harmony Hub late last year. Sure this is an older version of their hub touchscreen remote, but the hub still uses the newest version of the app that the current remote / hubs do.

I don’t think you have to worry about the hub suddenly not working anymore, they are all essentially the same thing with different remotes controlling their functionality.

I got one of these from https://www.walmart.com/ip/Logitech-Harmony-Smart-Remote-Control/34969761 for Christmas. Not sure the difference between that one ($59.99 Model 915-000194) and this one, but it is a pretty nice device. A bit of work to get it setup but great for replacing 3 or 4 different remotes for TV/DVD/Blue-ray/Stereo.

Edit: Ah… looks like this one has a LCD screen on the remote. But For $60 not sure if that is worth the extra cost.

I have a much older model of this kind of Logitech remote and it works great. HOWEVER, Logitech has a track record of having some decent items, but discontinuing them and making all but impossible to get them fixed or finding a replacement. Based on the products I’ve owned in the past, I’ll never buy another Logitech items again. The Alert camera system is a good example. Had one for 4 years, then one day, it just died. Can’t find any that are not double the orig price. They just have too many arms in the fire.

Terrible battery life. I got this last time it was posted; the charge on this remote is less than a week; we end up just leaving it on the charging cradle and using our old remote. Useless.

After about 2 weeks it quit working, go figure. Junk!!
