No mouse, other than a trackball will work well on glass surfaces. Wont work on a pillow eithee. You need a rubber mat. I use a leather version of a rubber mat I bought decades ago at Staples

Iā€™m in the same boat. I really like this mouse. Thinking of picking up one more.
