Make sure your device takes the unifying receiver and not the logi-bolt receiver.

Or isn’t just their regular receiver.
Logitech has three different types of receivers:
- The regular one which are typically included in the lower priced offerings. These cannot accommodate additional devices and some aren’t programmable at all.
- Unifying, which is what’s offered here. These only work with peripherals that have the Unifying symbol.
- Bolt, their newest type, which adds full encryption. These only work with peripherals that have the Bolt symbols.
Despite the potential for mixup, I still give credit to Logitech for at least some being able to be replace/reprogram some receivers. The same can’t be said for a many other brands? Lost or broken receiver? Buy a whole new set.
(Note that I am not staff. I just volunteer to help out on the forums.)
