FWIW, I ordered one of these. It was clearly open box, NOT new. The cord organizer was missing, and the white nylon was dirty. But I suspect I know why now…so I plugged this in, and it turns out the LED is always on. And this thing is bright! The light at the ‘outlet’ is ridiculously bright blue. The one that plugs into the controller is also bright, but smaller for obvious reasons. I wanted a long cord to keep plugged in for when my controller dies. Even tucked underneath my TV console, the light shines brightly thru. I would avoid this one at all costs, especially from here given the condition mine was received.
Yeah that should have been new. Make sure you let CS know because they track issues like this. Plus they’ll have options for you. As to the light, put some electrical tape over it to block the light.
