Anyone know what the microSD slot does on the Magellans?
I have one of these. It’s slower and less accurate than the TomTom I previously had. It’s -ok- but just barely. My advice: spend a few more bucks and get a comparable TomTom.
I got one of these, since I needed a second one. My slightly-older Garmin is much better in many ways, and after getting this, I got another Garmin to replace it.
The interface is not as intuitive, traffic is 20 minutes delayed (!), which is why it has the Traffic Wakeup feature, but a 20min delay makes traffic reports almost worthless, routing takes longer, the suction cup does not work nearly as well, so on and so forth.
And the replacement Garmin - with lifetime maps and traffic, Bluetooth and voice command - was only slightly higher than this ($94.98), albeit with a slightly smaller 4.3" display.
And it was just from Walmart.com, but the best price I could find at the time, which also happened to be Black Friday weekend, but this was not a BF special.

This must stop. Every thread must have cute furries.
I bought one of these a while back. You get what you pay for. It has some (IMO) significant features missing. No street speeds was a big one for me. Didn’t like it and went back to my 3 year old Tom Tom.
It is just used for O/S upgrades.
I really want to get one for my honey, but so many negative remarks and reviews on Amazon. 
My advice would be to spend more money and get a good one. This one is cheap and it shows!
You can get lost on your own for free, or you can pay for a Magellan. Pick your poison.
