You can’t go by the date on the forums. That just the date they first logged into the forums, not woot. They’ve been a customer much longer.

It’s not gatekeeping. Half the people here are posting on brand new accounts or beater ones they’ve owned for years for farming price mistakes with purchase limits.
Then a bunch of them are going to open these things and return resealed packs with paper clippings inside, which are going to be resold to hapless customers during the next “open box” event. That’s why the big stores don’t accept returns on these anymore. It’s just that the Woot staff might not know how this game is played, so they’re being nice to those people like they are to all of their other customers.

The “Woot’s number” on the forums is not representative of the amount of purchasers for 2 main reasons:
- The site and forums don’t interact like that for privacy reasons.
- Wooters wouldn’t like that for privacy reasons.
That number on the profile has to do with points for the forum leaderboards.
