Magnavox Blu-ray Player with VUDU and Wireless LAN

$68.00 at your local Walmart for a new one.

The big complaint on Amazon appears to be that the description implies that it is compatible with other streaming services. This is pretty clear that it only streams VUDU, so there shouldn’t be much trouble with it as long as your expectations are set correctly!

Nothing but VuDu. No netflix. Pretty lame machine by the reviews:

awfully thick for a Blu-ray player…does VUDU take up that much room?

Nice set of headlights!

According to the Amazon reviews, No.

No Netflix, no sale.

No Netflix or Hulu, only Vudu. Reportedly very slow. Reviews not great: http://www.amazon.com/Magnavox-MBP5120-F7-Blu-ray-Player/dp/B004WKOLIQ. Terrible reviews at Walmart for what appears to be next model up: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Magnavox-MBP5130-F7-Wireless-LAN-Blu-ray-Player-with-Vudu-Wi-Fi/15080513#BVSecondaryCustomerRatings

Reviews on this have been fairly universally bad.

Lamentations of defective units, poor quality, and incorrect product descriptions - it ONLY streams VUDU, is NOT updatable to Netflix streaming.

Can I get a silk screened replica of this DVD player on a 100% cotton T-shirt?

Are you kidding me woot?

Worst thing about this Blue Ray player is that the remote seems to require a straight angle to work. If I sit on the other end of my couch the angel is too severe for it, whereas every other component I have has no issue.

I’d get it if it had Netflix - why would they come out with a model that only had VUDU - esp. when its easy for them to do a software upgrade over the internet ?

OUCH! How BAD does something have to be for WalMart to give is a bad review?

Lol posted wrong model, nevermind :frowning:

Reading is good!

For $50 it’s good for the backup TV in the basement, den, garage, mancave, kid’s room, tree house, etc.

Caveat emptor: “24fps for Cinema-like Picture Quality” is a limitation marketed as a feature.

Vudu = an Internet streaming service kinda like Netflix streaming or Amazon on-demand. It is owned by Walmart. More info here: Vudu - Wikipedia

Arrghh???
