I purchased an RAVPower RP-WD01 FileHub, same price and has the ability to forward to your regular internet wifi, so you can play music and surf the internet at the same time.

I do like this and almost pulled the trigger. But then I realized that there isn’t much more functionality beyond what I have with my Camera Connection Kit and SD card, if I bothered to use them. Correct me if I’m wrong.

Bought an AirStash here about a month ago and it consistently freezes video playback across several different Android devices and several different video apps. If anyone has figured out how to get the AirStash to play uninterrupted video on the Android platform, I’d love to hear the hardware and software combination that worked for you.

What Android devices are you talking about? Many Android devices can do USB OTG and don’t even need to use something like this. If you look at Amazon reviews it seems that file transfers happen ok with Android, but it seems like streaming is not all that great. If you want to do wireless storage/streaming this one might be a better option- more money at $99, but more options

But having a cable dangling off your device sucks and is dangerous. A WiFi device is much better and can stream more than one machine at a time.

I hope my order for the AirStash is completed THIS time! The sale on Nov 20th resulted in receiving nothing- the reason given only AFTER I inquired was that it was lost or damaged enroute to the shipper & refunded quietly. Then told that product was available if I’d provide credit authorization, but alas, another inquiry led to word that it WAS NOT really available, and now…??

Total thumbs up on the recommendation for the RP-WD01 also!

I own it and have streamed up to three devices at the same time all watching different movies and it worked flawlessly.(iPad. Nexus 7, and iPhone) Another benefit is it can hold not only a 64 GB SD card BUT it also allows me to plug in my 1TB USB drive to stream movies from.

It can be had from Newegg for a few dollars more.(It was actually $5 less when I purchased it than it is now)

Almost pulled the trigger also until I read the specs. I thought this had an additional on board memory making it less dependent on using a card. That would have been cool. Was looking at the SanDisk Connect 32GB Wireless Flash Drive on Amazon, which is roughly the same price with on board 32gb. With this you start with only 8 at 42 bucks and then have to buy an additional card if you want to go higher. Yea ok, maybe good for some but I don’t want to be dependent on always looking for a card and like the onboard feature. Had they included some internal men then this would have been a no brainer. Also do not like the design of having that card sticking out like shown here!

I have used this like a Chinese throwing star before. Some people are into guns, others into knives- back-off baby you get this OTG USB adapter going- you will take someone out. Once I even saw someone use one of these like a set of mini numchucks- you want to talk dangerous
