Great idea / concept but (IMO) Bluetooth is not the best way to do a remote connection. When I tried it on a roast in the oven the Bluetooth connection was lost as soon as the (steel, as are most) oven door was fully closed. Using it outside on the grill works “OK” as long as I position the grill where I can keep the repeater/charger resting in the sill of a back window - otherwise the connection to the phone is lost as soon as I come in the house. I am going back to my remote display 4-probe monitor I’ve used for a few years now. It doesn’t connect to Wi-Fi or phone system, but the RF it uses is like what RC aircraft used before - about a 300 meter range. Goes right through oven doors and my houses’ walls no problems.
