Remember when you could call 1800”GOOG411” and reach an operator that would Google things for you when you were away from a Computer? Pre smart phone?

We need 1-800-WOOT-411 to support our geriatric community!!! It’s all love baby!!!

I think we’re being unfair to most of the older generation. Most of them are just as tech-savvy as the younger generations.

Not using the app isn’t an age thing, it’s a lifestyle choice.

I’m disappointed in all of the mean comments toward the poster who didn’t feel comfortable with using an app to make purchases. My father is 94, a WWII vet. He does use some apps on his phone but won’t make purchases that way. He doesn’t feel safe in doing so because the elderly are the largest group targeted by nefarious people. Instead of being helpful, like asking if there was a friend or family member who could place the order for him, you lash out like a bunch of petulant children. Your grandparents and parents must be so proud. I came on here to purchase these for my father. I saw there were comments on the item, so I thought I’d see what others thought of the product before purchasing them for him. Instead just a bunch of jerks with no empathy. Would you really treat your own parent or grandparent this way.

Hi there.

I’m sorry you don’t feel comfortable using phone/tablet apps so you feel left out from this deal. Most things on Woot are available to everyone but they have select things set to app-only in an effort to get more people to use their app.

If are interested in learning how to use phone apps, though, your local senior center might provide classes to teach people how to use them.

I’m also sorry some people on here have been perhaps a little too quick with the sarcasm. Everyone has different comfort levels when it comes to technology but things like phone apps aren’t necessarily for the young. I personally know many people in their 70’s who regularly use apps and I’ve let them know they are welcome to ask me for assistance when needed, which they do, but not very often.

Please don’t feel limited by your age. And please don’t discount all older people as being technologically-disinclined. If you tried it, you might find out like are not only capable of doing it, but that you enjoy it. Either way, I hope you find the shorts you’re seeking. Please take care.

i agree 100% I am so tired of having to clutter my phone and/tablet with MORE apps. i don’t think it’s so much an age thing as just feeling more comfortable with using a laptop or desktop. The screen is bigger. it’s usually easier to navigate. Why use the small phone without a real keyboard?

Why be thoughtful and kind when you can be snarky and rude?

I wasn’t. My point is, things change.

Color: Assorted

Let me go play the lottery because in this random selection, we got all black :joy:

This is for future me to remind myself why I don’t buy clothes on Woot…
I just received my 2 3-packs of assorted color shorts. 1st 3-pack: Black (pictured), dark blue (pictured), pine green (not pictured). 2nd 3-pack: Very Dark Charcoal gray (looks black, not pictured), heather (pictured), kelly green (not pictured).
So that’s basically 2 black shorts, 1 blue, 1 heather, and 2 hideous green shorts not even pictured in the ad. “hey boss, no one is buying the greens because they’re so ugly”. “well, don’t show them in the ad, but make sure to throw one in every 3-pack until they’re all gone.”

But wait, there’s more. The material is so thin that you can see my junk whilst wearing them. So now I must put on underwear to lounge around my house, since, you know, I live with other people, who don’t all share the same affinity for my package.

And lastly, although not specified, my bad I should know to check; there is no back pocket. Because no one in 2022 carries a mobile phone. Maybe I’ll buy underwear with a phone pocket instead.

Here’s Woot’s return policy on clothing items:
