I don’t like how these programs/applications now either only have a 1 year subscription or are a digital only download that is tied to the physical computer and is non-transferable to a different pc or laptop. Bring back cd installations!!!
This was being discussed as far back as mid 1980s at Microsoft when I worked there. They were trying to figure out ways to keep money flowing in once someone had purchased the stand-alone product. All software companies were in the same pickle.

I purchased 3 and each one was invalid when I tried to activate them. buyer beware. I’m waiting for a response from Woot CS.
I bought one also and it was invalid. They supposedly refunded me because they said they didn’t have any left to replace it with, but it still looks like you can purchase them, so beware.
I never owned office 2021 after activating the software report echoed back as a all ready used activation code. Beware.. the biggest pain about Microsoft Software products . it only give you one chance, Now it locked the install activation because it think I AM THE THIEF! I am pissed!

Absolute garbage. Product code was invalid after going through all of the ridiculous steps on Woot to download the product. So disappointed. Waiting for a response from Woot for a refund.
already do used the woot system yestter did the clicks selected my order per the click sessions and in return I reciveve a automated message Woot can not find the order and the information ??? you guy have a big problem! suchso I may never use Woot / Amazon again
Looks like you were refunded a few hours ago.
They will no longer provide security updates after that date, so if you use it after the support date you’re doing at it your own risk
I got a response from support asking for screen shots which I sent and I never heard from them again yet. They stuck me with 3 invalid codes. I tried downloading Office 2021 from other locations and even activating through my MS login and still don’t work. I should have known better than buy this.
Same problem, I have yet to receive a response from Woot.
Two I bought in January don’t work either. My subscription from school ended in September. I go to install and use it now and I’m SOL. I emailed support, hopefully they’ll assist me.
Microsoft’s Windows XP era activation is as delightful to deal with as I vaguely remembered (sarcasm).
