Putting some context to that: released on September 10, 2020.
So almost a year of updates left.

Wjy can’t this be unlocked? According to Microsoft, these can all be unlocked to work on Verizon and T-mobile.

When we first sold these, they could not be unlocked. Since then Microsoft and Verizon have figured it out BUT YMMV. Some people still have issues getting them to unlock their tablet. We’re taking the cautious road and saying it can’t be.
