Bought this like 2(?) years ago (and love it) but this refurb price seems high - especially in 2015
I am conflicted. As much as I want this, I love my 360 and do not think I really need this. Good thing I am poor right now!
For those interested, check out this interesting article about all of the upgrades happening in February
Cowboom sells them used for 350$, and you can buy a one year warranty through them for around 40 dollars. So for essentially 10 dollars more than this deal you get the same system but with a one year warranty.
And a Game Good deal!!!, if I could I would buy 3 of them!
I regret purchasing an Xbox One. I still play my 360 90% of the time.
I got a refurb XB1 with Kinect from the Microsoft store on Black Friday for $325 and it came with 3 free games. I’m incredibly happy with my purchase, but I don’t think this is a good deal. It is bound to be cheaper somewhere else.
Guess it depends how badly you want a Kinect, but given the lack of Kinect games, I don’t think a Kinect is must-have if you get a XBOX ONE.
Amazon lists a BRAND NEW X-Box One Assassin’s Creed Unity bundle for $344. No Kinect of course, but it definitely makes this refurb deal seem like… not a deal.
Was just brand new for $310 without Kinect… Just wait for another deal refurbs on a system like this cannot be trusted. The Kinect most likely is not worth $70 + used status.
BestBuy has the Kinect version with Assassin’s Creed: Unity for $450 right now. So minus the $60 game that’s only a $15 difference.
Regardless of the deal, I’m SOOO not a fan of the Kinect option. We tried to watch a movie on the XB1 we have in our media room in the building (which has the Kinect) I’m the only one who could get it to move between screens, because I do pages and phone sales (basically, I can talk like a computer, with very concise enunciation). But it never registered hand movements, and it couldn’t read the DVD. If we had the controllers, maybe it would have worked so we could play movies, but it was thoroughly annoying and had to come up with another plan (we brought down the PS4 to watch something).
my local walmart sells the same bundle for $350 brand new. bad, very bad deal woot.
Here is the listing directly at Microsoft. 25 dollars more and it comes with 1 month of XBOX Live Gold and 3 games.
*One month of Xbox Live Gold
*Dance Central Spotlight - download
*Ryse: Son of Rome - download
*Titanfall
Does Xbox 1 allow users to play videos saved on their local network or USB stick yet? I had heard that wasn’t possible on the 1 despite being available on the 360.
I use the Plex App for this.
I purchased one of these in December. It wasn’t refurbished, just used and broken. Woot wouldn’t take it back because I purchased it 24 days before I found out it didn’t work (Christmas gift). Made me return it to Microsoft for repair…very disappointing Christmas…thanks woot.
