From August 16th - August 19th, we’ll release one special product on the main page of the Woot! app right at midnight CT.
It will look just like the other products on the main page, and it will have its regular price, BUT its image will say “$1 on the Woot! app” (see below for an example).
Add that product to your cart, and the price will magically drop to $1 at checkout!
QUANTITIES ARE LIMITED. These will probably sell out in the first minute or two, so be ready!
You may be placed into Woot!'s (in)famous Vestibule of Patience while you’re trying to purchase – this is a way for us to make sure the app doesn’t crash from too much demand. It does NOT guarantee that you’ll be able to complete your purchase.
NOTE: If you are checking out with Amazon Prime and you are seeing a shipping cost during checkout, look for and tap/click the “Use this address” button. The order page will finish loading and shipping will update.

THINGS TO KNOW
VOP is by design. A small percentage of orders go straight through with the remainder going to the VOP to queue up for the next availability in our order processing. This keeps our servers from blowing up.
You can exit the VOP after 4-5 minutes. Desktop should kick you out. App is a jerk and doesn’t kick you out. Canceled means we ran out after we processed your payment. We have to cancel to refund the order. Denied means that we ran out before we could process your order. We deny the order to reverse the process.
What is it with Woot! and MIDNIGHT?? I know that SOME people around here usually try to start something called SLEEPING about then (I’m doin’ that thing earlier and earlier every evening when I can). Was there a point when some bright soul said “Let’s quit starting the races at Noon, or 10:45AM or whenever, and schedule all this stuff at the most inconvenient time possible”?? Sleep depraved minds would like to know!
I think it is refreshing that SOMEONE has finally started catering to us anti-social, basement dwelling, night owls. Everywhere else it’s “sale start at 7am” or whatever time it is that daytime people are roaming the streets. It’s about time WE get some love

When I began shopping Woot, June 2006, I was employed. Having become debt-free ment I could spend my fun-money as
I wanted. The only catch was how to see item (only one) when I should be asleep. I really didn’t want my husband to know I was obsessed. He just thought my Beanie Baby addiction was hard to kick!
And here I still am, many midnights with Wooters. It takes sooo much longer to find my way with so many items. Good night Wooters.
Oh!! When a Woot off would start I’d really be careful to not be found out. Remember the terrible dial up sound?
I just got my new phone up and running. I should be able to get through the checkouts and get things loaded faster now. Still have to get it hooked up to my phone carrier though.
