You probably can do it. But probably not worth the effort as you would need to attach it to a computer acting as a server and have to hunt down the right software and configuring it and leaving your computer on at all times. It would be easier to get an all in one solution from dlink.

these probably don’t work on macs, do they? cuz i sure could use a webcam for my powerbook.
What I really want to know is this: Could someone post a JPG of a shot taken with this webcam?

Ok, So can anyone tell me why webcams in general suck anyway??? I’m sure these are just as good or bad as some of the name brand crap thats out there as well…But I have yet to see a web cam worth a damn…
Yes, you can. This is the program I used to check on our dogs one time: http://www.booru.net/. It’s a great program, and free (it’s nice to donate if you like it, of course). You need to have a space you can ftp to and then set up a little web page. If you have two computers, you can check two rooms with the two cameras!
hmm… on the ebay link it talks about them being PC webcams…
still wondering if there’s any way to get them to work on a powerbook though…

Not quite true. You can argue he invented the idea of a computer, but not the computer. He actaully invented a machine that solves polynomial equations.
