(6) - 2015 Mira Luna Pinot Blanc, Willamette Valley, Oregon
so dry or sweet…?
Well… I would love to try it but first I need a realistic assessment of the product. So far it just the typical mumbojumbo flowery bs and I’m certainly not going to order up a sixer of crap if i can avoid it.
Any honest reviews out there?
“2015 Mira Luna Pinot Blanc, Willamette Valley, Oregon
The 2015 Mira Luna Pinot Blanc has aromas of pear blossom and honeysuckle with bright flavor, subtle minerality, and a lively palate.”
The words “bright” and “lively” are euphemisms for acidic, so it is a dry wine. So it has a floral taste at first followed by acidic tartness and a stony flavor, like French Sauvignon Blanc.
I would like to know if it has been aged in oak barrels, which would be unlikely but winemakers in Oregon do all kinds of wacky things.
Also white wine should be drank pretty soon after bottling, so 2015 is already a few years old, in a year or two it will probably be rapidly decreasing in drinkability
