Modern Hummingbird Feeders

I have one of these. It’s very sturdy, but takes a hella lot of nectar and over half of it will go to waste due to the positioning of the flowers/holes for access. The nectar drops way below the access holes so the hummingbirds can’t reach the last 1/2-1/3 of the liquid.

I was wondering about the capacity and the shape. I only get 2 or 3 hummers a season. They use about 8 ounces of nectar each week but I change it more often do it didn’t go bad. This feeder is too deep and wide. It’s a shame because I like the fact that it’s dark and may kept sun light from reaching the nectar. I also like the fact that it’s glass, not plastic but It also looks hard to clean.
