Got one and tried it on my el-cheapo 6 year old Android tablet and it worked. Can’t comment on the sound quality yet. Very simple operation. Nice way to see if you like using this kind of setup or prefer wired mics.
I use two Sennheiser ENG mics (“electronic news gathering,” with longer handles and tougher build quality) with XLR cables to either a Zoom P4 or a small Sony recorder.
I am the author of the “I Want To Podcast!” audio book and basically steer people away from using phones and tablets for podcasts. Better editing software and mixers, etc. in the PC/Mc world.
But there are plenty who may disagree. $9.95 is a cheap way to see if you can get by with a phone or tablet.
