Just received mine today and these look like holiday clearance. Trying to verify the best by date but there’s nothing that is clearly a date. Can anyone shed some light?
This is the only code I could find on the bag: 05923 MSI 18:23
Oh and my packing slip showed a six pack of 8 oz bags for $26 while I received six 10oz bags for $38…
So after poking around this is all I could come up with: 05 is the day of month, 9 is the month of September and 23 is 2023. OR 059 is the day of the year (February 28th) and 23 is still 2023.
Either way, these bags of popcorn are over a year past their best by date and certainly not the advertised 10/24.
Can anyone tell me if I’m interpreting these numbers correctly?

Has anyone who bought this opened it? Is it in good condition?
I originally bought this as a gift for Mother’s Day, but since the packaging is not what was advertised and the best by date still remains a mystery, I don’t really want to gift it unless I know it’s good. And if I open it to check, I definitely can’t give it someone as a present.
