Samsung internet is fine.
If you hold down for a second the menu will pop up. Now getting it to stay up until you can pick one…

The difference in notification alerts between mobile and desktop.
The latter is like a regular notification, but on mobile, it’s condensed.

ty, computer restart did the trick - now I see the options with just a cursor hover 
Haven’t tried yet with the ancient iPhone (which always has multiple issues with the app), will check back after giving it a try.
