Motorola Home Theater System DCP501
The movie theater experience without the sticky floors
$129.99 + $5 Shipping and Handling

WOOTCEPTIONAL™ - A very subjective word as each woot is exceptional to some and drek to others

I’m about ready for some BOC or WOOT-OFF madness. Hopefully we will get to see some soon.

But then again… they may be waiting till woot 2.0 is launched to do something like that again. Hmmmmm…

Motorola Home Theater System DCP501
The movie theater experience without the sticky floors

Bring up the subject of movie theaters to Grand-dad and he’ll happily wax nostalgic for hours. Those nickel double-features, with a cartoon and a news-reel, and piping hot popcorn dripping with butter…of course, he never mentions the ratty seat cushions, the deafening click-clack of the projector, or the weirdo in the trenchcoat three seats over. Nostalgia just isn’t what it used to be.

The Motorola DCP501 home theater includes a DVD/CD/MP3 player, 100 watts x 5-channel amplifier, and an AM/FM stereo receiver, so you can turn your living room into a grand film palace (or a smokin’ hot discotheque) without ever leaving the womblike security of home. And it’s all in one austere grey unit, so you don’t have to worry about embarrassing yourself by tripping over a tangle of wires. When you can’t hop a streetcar to catch the latest George Raft picture, your next best bet is the DCP501.

Disclaimer: Woot staff doesn’t know much about Digital Cable, but we know enough to not guarantee that this will work in your area, with whatever cable you have (even if that cable makes use of other motorola equipment.) It may be a lot simpler than that in some cases, but we’d recommend seeing enough value in the key dvd+receiver features that you’ll be happy if the digital cable proves inoperable in your area.

Wow its really hard to get into the forums.
Anyway its a nice deal.
Too bad they offered an audio system less than a week ago.
I wonder how they compare head to head…

Lets have a lcd screen on here soon
Severs seem to be having problems today

Bring on the Yamaha’s then I’ll be interested! 'Course they won’t be for that cheap price.

Oy, this one again. Well, if you missed it last time and actually wanted it, here’s your chance. 0.9% THD? I’ve got a clock radio with better specs than that.

If I hadn’t just bought the Sirius radio bundle…

but can it deep fry a buffalo in 20 seconds?

Gee, Home Theater.

Deja Vu

All over again.

Lame

:? We must be working the re-runs this month? I know I saw this a couple weeks ago.

Oh, let’s hurry up, already. Item ten, nine more to go…

(i’m following you, heh heh)

 BOC PLEASE!!!

Very nice, but I have a good system already. BOC, BOC, BOC. Goodnight all

this one’s more like [/size:3efa6aa027]woof![/size:3efa6aa027]

I definitely agree with the de-emphasis on the cable tuner. Might be a good idea (if it comes up again) to highlight the huge size and weight, too.
