I purchased this on the last go around. I’m incredibly happy with it. My box came with NO instructions, so be prepared to download them before you unplug your internet.
I know some people have MAC address issues, but I guess I was one of the luckies.
Please confirm with your service provider what level of service you have - and do not do this via a phone call because the average rep is not going to know this.
Do this via e-mailing, twitter, or by using an instant chat option. Even though it is DOCSIS 3.0 many times higher speed services use differing mixes of Bonded upstreams/downstreams that require specific firmware which this box MAY not support…
Again take the model number and e-mail your ISP and confirm it is compatible with your level of service.
I bought this same item on amazon about 6 months ago brand new for about 100. It’s now selling for about 83.00. It’s still their #1 rated best seller for computer networking modems. NEVER given me any issues. This reconditioned one should be just fine. Oh yeah, I use Comcast and it is totally compatible with them.
i just got one from local costco for $75. my wife works at home and my connection has been dropping like crazy. she can’t keep her vpn connected. now with the new modem, no issue what so ever…
I’m late with this reply, but yes, this modem supports VoIP. I’ve had this same model modem for 2 years, and I’ve used VoIP phone service for the entire time.
I also got the 6121, they offered me a 5 dollar refund or return the device for a full refund. WTF? Why can’t they send you the device that is advertised that you were supposed to have purchased. Did anyone get this resolved?
