I purchased this on the last go around. I’m incredibly happy with it. My box came with NO instructions, so be prepared to download them before you unplug your internet.
I know some people have MAC address issues, but I guess I was one of the luckies.

If I can just give some advice working at an ISP:

Please confirm with your service provider what level of service you have - and do not do this via a phone call because the average rep is not going to know this.

Do this via e-mailing, twitter, or by using an instant chat option. Even though it is DOCSIS 3.0 many times higher speed services use differing mixes of Bonded upstreams/downstreams that require specific firmware which this box MAY not support…

Again take the model number and e-mail your ISP and confirm it is compatible with your level of service.

I bought this same item on amazon about 6 months ago brand new for about 100. It’s now selling for about 83.00. It’s still their #1 rated best seller for computer networking modems. NEVER given me any issues. This reconditioned one should be just fine. Oh yeah, I use Comcast and it is totally compatible with them.

If you have VOIP with your current modem will this modem support that?

i just got one from local costco for $75. my wife works at home and my connection has been dropping like crazy. she can’t keep her vpn connected. now with the new modem, no issue what so ever…

I’m late with this reply, but yes, this modem supports VoIP. I’ve had this same model modem for 2 years, and I’ve used VoIP phone service for the entire time.

I received a SB6121, instead of the SB6141 – did this happen to anyone else?

I’m sorry for the problem. Please use the Support form linked at the top of the page to contact customer support for assistance.

Like another commenter, I received the SB6121 model. I am not happy. I have emailed support, hoping for a quick exchange or refund.

I was told they have no more, and option is to keep 6121 (and get a $10 refund), or return via RMA.

I also received an SB6121. I just submitted an email to customer support, and then checked here to see if anyone else had the same problem.

If they’re out, then I guess I’ll be getting a refund (since the SB6121 is apparently only 1/2 the speed). Oh well.

Ha ha! I was offered a pathetic $7 refund if I would keep the slow unit. I am returning it and my days of Wooting are done.

I also got the 6121, they offered me a 5 dollar refund or return the device for a full refund. WTF? Why can’t they send you the device that is advertised that you were supposed to have purchased. Did anyone get this resolved?
