That thing we had here sold out link points to sadness

Only 8 downstream channels so if you’re on Time Warner Cable the fastest this will provision for is 100X10, if you want/have the 200X20 or 300X20 plan you’d need a modem with 16 downstreams.

Need a solid modem that is easy to set up? This is your best bet. I have yet to have an issue with this modem. Besides that I had no options for colors.

I just ordered one. I’m just really hoping it’s the right model this time. I ordered one of these from Woot a couple of weeks ago, but I (and others) actually got an SB6121, and Woot said they were out of the SB6141, so I sent the SB6121 back for a refund last week. I’m hoping I have better luck this time, but the “deja vu” feeling is a bit disconcerting.

Good lord I would kill for those options.

What a ripoff. TWC is screwing over its customers (to be expected). I have a 6121 with only 4 downstream channels and get over 100. The 6141 can handle at least 300Mbps down.

I have just had the same thing happen to me. I ordered the SB6141 and I received the SB6121. I have emailed customer service.

Same here. {sigh} I got mine today and it’s an SB6121. Again. Seriously Woot?! I had my reservations about ordering this, but I really didn’t think they’d do the same thing twice in 2 weeks (actually, 10 days). So I’ll have to get another RMA and send this one back too (I don’t know if they’ve even received the last one I sent back yet). So disappointing.

The exact same thing happened to me also. Ordered SB6141 TWICE, and received SB6121 TWICE. Something is seriously wrong here, WOOT!!

Woot, you have some very unhappy customers here!! I ordered SB6141 TWICE, but received SB6121 TWICE. From the comments in this thread, I am far from alone. Please try to explain and let us know how we can get the right product ship to us without waiting for another sale, and another wrong shipment!

Each time (this sale and the last one) customer service said that they had no SB6141’s to send as a replacement. I’m guessing that they never had any to begin with. I haven’t seen anyone say that they actually got an SB6141 in either sale (although, to be fair, if they got the right modem, they probably wouldn’t bother to come back to the forum {wry g}).

Anyway, I did some looking around and it turns out that Walmart lists a refurbished SB6141 for $50, with an in-store pickup option. However, the listed spec’s are off.

“Data transfer rate: up to 100Mbps”
“up to 4 downstream channels and 4 upstream channels”

That should be “up to 300 Mbps”, and 8 downstream channels. So, that’s worrisome. I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s actually an SB6121 too. Could a bunch of refurb’s have somehow been sent out (to different places) under the wrong model #?

It looks like the nearby Walmart may also have new (not refurb) SB6141’s in stock for $80. I’m tired of messing with it, so I plan to swing by tomorrow and if they have them, I’m just going to go ahead and buy a new one.

Same thing happened here. Got the 6121, had to send it back.

Did anyone get what they ordered?

I’ve been a wooter for a really long time and have REALLY been having troubles with woot in the last year or so.
