((6+14)*(44+9))^2=1123600… apparently got some numbers wrong…

Haha, the only number I got the same as you was the 44 :stuck_out_tongue:

and that should be 43. since one pres served twice. so 43 individuals.

((5 + 14) * (43 + 9)) ^ 2

Thanks Woot!

edit: And yes, their parentheses were off again.

If they’ve got their bracketing right this time then it’s not
((A+B)*(C+D))^2
but rather
(A+B) * ((C+D)^2)

Edit: but I doubt they’ve got their bracketing right since it would pretty much be a first if they did.

Edit2: ^^^^ ha ha, edit at the same time buddies!

You’re reading the brackets wrong… remove the parenthesis around the word clues to see it clearer… the exponent is the very last thing you do (there’s no “)” at the end)

Grats on your bag  (yeah I watched it til it sold out… waiting for the lucky one, the happy one.)

66 us territories including incorporated and unincorporated.

14 US territories under direct jurisdiction… Woot failed on this one too.

But that’s not how math works - a power of operator with no brackets only affects the closest thing. I realize there’s no bracket after the power-of, but the closing bracket before the power-of doesn’t match to the start of the equation, only to the middle.

Which is to say “A + B ^ 2” is not the same as “(A + B) ^ 2”.

Thanks. Now I can go to sleep as soon as the adrenaline wears off…

could be 16 too. 5 major territories, and 11 smaller

States are incorporated territories so you’d add 50. then maybe one for D of C?

Mine still hasn’t wore off, and that was a Napoleon ago. So I’m chillin around doing more math, lol.

Not a biennium ago?
