Nanoblock Sets

Peter: You got Legos? Aw, sweet! Lois only buys me Mega Bloks.

Lois: They’re the same thing, Peter.

Peter: You know what, Lois? They are not the same thing. And the sooner you get that through your thick skull, the sooner we can get this marriage back on track.

Which brings me to ask… how are Nanoblocks different from Legos?

They’re teensie-tiny… Kinda challenging to build if you have sausage fingers (like I do). But still pretty entertaining.

Am a huge fan of LEGOS, but I have mix feelings about Nanoblocks. As someone mentioned on an Amazon review, the Nanoblocks aren’t as well made as LEGOS. So certain pieces will fall apart after assembly. However, the Site to See series, solid structure Nanoblocks holds up pretty well.

All lego blocks are built to within 2 micrometers. That is a crazy tolerance level for something that is mass produced like legos, but that is why they stick together so well. They are built to fit very tightly.

Nanoblocks are probably not built to the same quality, but they are also significantly less expensive. I’m thinking about picking up some as a desk toy.
