THIS IS NOT THE SAME PRODUCT PAGE.
there is a difference between whey concentrate and whey isolate. Isolate is pure and gets absorbed better. This is not isolate, this is a “blend” meaning you don’t know how much of the good stuff (isolate) that you’re getting. Hydrolyzed means that they make it even better at being absorbed and put to use. Thats why that product page sells it for 120 bucks.
Iso-100 is a fairly decent brand of the pure isolate stuff IMO. You can get it on Amazon for anywhere from 60 bucks to 90 depending on the flavor you want. This stuff on WOOT definitely isn’t the same.
I bought the chocolate before but got it for $24.99 which I scooped up. Tastes ok, like watery chocolate milk, mixes fantastic. I am not a huge stickler when it comes to post workout drinks, I have tried MULTIPLE different ones and this was fine for the price. IMO
So I’m a pretty fat guy who sits on the computer all day, and sits on the couch all night. Is this what I need to buy to make me shed the fat and look ripped without changing anything in my life?
This is cheap because they use amino spiking in where they add straight amino acids which are much cheaper to manufacture to be able to make it look like there is more protein content than is actually present. Also a good whey protein will consist of isolates and hydrolyzed whey protein.
Cheap protein is also often processed with a method known as ion exchange in which chemical reagents are used to negatively and positively charge particles to extract the protein from the whey. This will damage specific components of the protein leaving it far from being a complete protein and make it harder to digest.
If you are wanting more protein in your diet I suggest doing one of two things. First you can eat more protein from natural sources such as eggs, fish and other lean meats. Or you can spend a few bucks more and get a quality protein powder that uses cold processed micro-filtration to separate the protein from the whey.
