The pictures show this scope mounted on an AR15, but the description under Features includes this: "Rated to Withstand Air Gun Dual Recoil.
So I’m confused. Is this scope appropriate for use on an AR15 (or other low-to-moderate-power center-fire rifle), or is it only intended for use on air rifles?
I would like to know what type of rifle this is designed for too.
In addition, what do I search for in Amazon to buy the mounting rings?
Air rifles are actually much harder on optics than traditional firearms. I know that doesn’t seem right but due to the nature of how spring action air rifles fire they break optics more frequent than a firearm. The description is just saying that it can EVEN withstand dual recoil from air guns. This scope should be able to withstand most rifle calibers.
This is a higher rating than a “normal” scope. Airguns will break the reticules in a non-rated scope very quickly.
