I get 300Mbps download from my Netgear router. Using a pair of these Orbis (purchased new from Amazon), I get just about that download speed throughout the house and even outside the house. They cover very well and consistently. The Orbi app is a very useful and handy way to manage the routers. You can install firmware updates and check your download speed, and manage your router (the Orbi main unit).
My biggest gripe with Netgear (and I hope they are listening) is they only offer 3 months support. This seems stingy considering how much money these devices cost.
The refurbished ones I bought on Woot looked new and work great.
This is the easiest and most trouble free network system we’ve ever had. We bought a new Orbi system with 2 satellites for our 2700 sq ft home and now have great coverage. I wasn’t familiar with a “mesh” wifi system but our wifi router with 2 extenders just wasn’t cutting it. The only times we have had outages since then, it has been the fault of the service provider, not our equipment.
