One of the following will be true:
If you have a modem/router combination (one box doing both), you will plug the main Orbi unit into one port of the FIOS router/modem. In this case, I would recommend turning off the wi-fi on the original modem/router in the settings. Also, you may be able to get just a modem from your internet provider.
If you have a separate modem and router, you will plug the main Orbi unit into the port on the modem and not use the FIOS router.

Ideally for any router, the router base unit of orbi Ideally is in the center of your house- not upstairs, not in the basement, not in a closet, not next to the refrigerator or microwave.
Center of the house, especially for classic standalone routers.
also if you are streaming content to your TV, by all means hard wire it
