These are a better alternative to the brand new ones that just came out running Vega OS. Can’t believe those were actually released. Got it only has the Amazon app store, there’s no developer mode, and because the app store is such in its infancy they’re relying on cloud apps.
I knew they were going to limit sideloading like Roku where you were limited to the first party apps. Didn’t know they were going to remove so many features and require cloud-based apps and remove all Luna and Xbox features and stuff.
Personally I prefer Android TV boxes but technically does run Android. You can side load downloader and Kodi and SmartTube and all of that good stuff.
And it’s actually isn’t a terrible solution for music if you have Smart speakers. Like you can download Smart tube or new pipe somthing. Gives you the versatility of the YouTube API which has a ton of stuff that Amazon music or Spotify does not have.
