Is 790 Joule any good, or should I look for 1440 Joule for basic electronics/tv/etc?

1440 is about twice “better”
All of my electronics are hooked up to some sort of protection. When my brother the electrician was alive, he used to look at the Oklahoma thunderstorms rolling across the city with anticipation of the business that would soon come rolling into his shop.

according to Google…‘‘Is 790 joules enough?’’
‘‘500 to 1,000 Joules’’
‘‘Unless you’re protecting small devices that don’t store any important data, you’ll want to avoid joule ratings under 1,000. However, a lower rating is sufficient if you’re protecting things like blenders or table lamps.’’
