Just what I need. A clock projected over my bed so I can count each and every minute that I lie there awake.

It’s so bright, your upstairs neighbor won’t need a clock anymore

Are the graphics correct in showing the projected time in two different orientations? In one case the digits are parallel to the long axis of the clock, in the other case they are perpendicular to that long axis… I don’t see a visible control for that in the “photos”… and I suspect those “projected displays” are hard to photograph, and if the photoshop’er wasn’t careful he is misleading us…

I don’t see the little thin antenna cord hanging out the back lol…and oh look it has a dst button for the lazy people.

Seriously, I wonder if the projection stays on all the time. When I was shopping for this type of clock years ago I could only find ones where you had to hit a button to get the projection to display & after a couple of seconds the light went out. They’ve probably improved since then.

Good price for an alarm clock though

Why can’t FM clock radios pick up the time of day from the FM sideband signal?

We should never have to set the time on an FM clock radio.

No, I believe that’s creative license. AFAIK the time is either projected as shown in the first illustration or flipped 180 degrees.

I believe there’s a button to turn the projection on or off. When it’s on, it stays on.

Why can’t ALL clocks and timers automatically check and update their clock via the Internet NTP severs, over WiFi, and hold wifi settings (originally set via Bluetooth and saved via NVRAM…

I have had auto-setting (WWV) “atomic” digital clocks with ceiling LED display for more than 10 years. For those, the ceiling display was always on when on AC power. I can’t see the ceiling number in daylight. Mine was made by Oregon Scientific, I don’t know if they are still in business.

Ha ha. No way I am setting up a clock to get on Wifi. I don’t want to set up anything.

Radios already get sideband signal, so FM stations can send song titles etc to receivers.

@nabutu

I believe Oregon Scientific was bought out or “absorbed” by a large corporation, but not 100% certain so don’t quote me🤔

If you look at the User Guide in another post, the thin antenna cord is there; it’s just wrapped around a place for storage on the back of the clock.

Surprised this is not sold out yet. It’s selling for $21.99 on the mothership. Really good price.

Thanks to those of you who replied with info & comments about the clock. :+1: I passed on it because I don’t need another clock right now.

This is actually a very nice alarm clock! My wife bought one a couple months ago, though not on super deal like this!

The time projection is such a nice feature. I usually don’t like little bright lights at night, but this one doesn’t bother me, and I even requested she angle the clock so I can see the projected time from my side of the bed as well. I cant stress enough how convenient it is to know what time it is in the middle of the night without waking myself up too much by having to manually check the time. I glance over at the wall, and boom, I know how much time I have left to sleep and barely even had to move!
