Insane pricing, you are not Apple yet you are definitely trying to compete with them on overpricing, its possible to get a much newer M series Apple computer for this price , whomever is in charge of pricing these computers, needs a reality check, if you are using the current price raise in the cost of ram to justify this price, you are way out of line and extremely overpricing computers that have a limited time left in their window of still receiving apple support

$649? Didn’t even Walmart run out on of them? Seems like they were clearing them out as low as $499 or $549 in 2025.
Is it really “NEW” if it’s saddled with the Woot 90-day warranty rather than the original new 1-year Apple warranty?
I happen to run one of these with double the storage (not necessary in this cloud age) and it still runs perfectly snappy for all around use.
A lot of these products are still being sold by 3rd-party sellers. I agree the price is high, but it’s most likely not Woot’s fault. The price is most likely how this item ended up here in the first place.
Also, there have been times when I have seen products that were incredibly inexpensive on here, like you could buy them and turn around and sell them for more then woot wanted without doing a thing.
Did you react the same way then? Did you tell them how absurd it was to sell them so cheaply?
Most likely not, because that is a benefit to you.
If it’s too expensive, just don’t buy it. They will lower the price. I promise.
Ps, if these are new then they are worth it.
Yeah, this is the part where it seems like some folks don’t seem to understand. If the price isn’t to your liking, DON’T BUY IT!
Amazon Haul has some 1-cent sales from time to time, and even then, some products are “overpriced” to me.

Definitely not worth it at $649, no matter how much shilling is done for woot and the billionaire conglomerate owner, especially in 2026 and considering the limited time left for apple support software updates, and its only 8gb/256 ssd, if it had 24 or 36gb ram and 1TB ssd/ it would still be a stretch but it would also make a little more sense but as equipped, its just overkill price gouging,

Like I and others have told you, just don’t buy it. It’s easy! 
Here’s some math you can’t argue with though. There’s a chip shortage right now, and silicon is expensive because of it. You’re just gonna have to get used to it. Unfortunately, we all are gonna have to. But this isn’t as bad a deal as you’re making it sound because the current M5 MacBook Air is $1299.99. This one was last sold brand new by Apple in 2024 for $999.99. That means at this price you’re saving almost $700 off of the new one for what is likely only a two-year-old machine. And it’s still very highly capable; if they are new, it will last you until the end of the century easily.
Last point, I know it is confusing, but this is a third-party seller. Woot isn’t the seller. So they don’t set the price. Did you complain this ferociously when the same laptop (used) was on here for under $300 a month ago? Of course not.
